She attended Santiago High School in nearby Corona. She was a four-year letterman in basketball and also participated in track and field, excelling in the high jump. Billings was ranked among the top 30 recruits nationally coming out of high school and received an invitation to the U.S. National Team Under-18 trials in 2014. She was selected 15th overall by the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA Draft in 2018 which marked the start of her professional career.
