Uzbek American rock and pop singer and TV personality known for appearance and breakout success on The Voice Russia in 2013, her hit singles "Ya - ne tvoya," "Ty - moya nezhnost," and "Begi," and her albums Shum Serdtsa and Ves mir.

Before Fame

She made her stage debut when she was 4 years old. She competed in major Soviet music festivals when she was in her teens including the All-Union competition Jurmala-86. She moved to the United States in 1995 after the fall of the USSR and worked several jobs. She auditioned for The Voice Russia when she was 43 years old in 2013 which resulted in her big break. 

Trivia

She is fluent in Russian, Uzbek, and English. She won the Grand Prix at the White Nights of St. Petersburg Festival in 2014. She has been banned from entering Russia for 50 years after openly criticizing the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. She is obsessed with collecting handmade soap bars from different countries.

Family Life

She was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She grew up in a large musical family. Her mother Louisa Zakirova was a well-known performer in Uzbekistan, and her grandfather was an opera singer. She has three children named Sabina, Auel, and Leila.
