Nicky Lee

About

Korean-American singer and actor who catapulted to fame amidst the Taiwanese Mandopop music industry. He first stepped into the public eye as a member of the Taiwanese hip-hop group Machi before embarking on his solo career in 2005 with the Mandarin-language debut album, "Shadow." As an actor, he has appeared in Taiwanese television series like Pretty Ugly and Love 18 as well as feature films including Machi Action and The Missing.

Before Fame

He was raised in Los Angeles, CA and attended Long Beach City College before relocating to Taiwan to pursue his music industry career. He entered the scene through his work with Machi and later transitioned into solo work by releasing his debut album in 2005. 

Trivia

He won Best Mandarin Male Singer at the 2007 18th Golden Melody Awards. He was nominated for the same award again in 2018. He provided the Mandarin dub for Moto Moto the Hippopotamus in the 2008 DreamWorks animated film Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. 

Family Life

In 2014, he married Japanese television personality Akane Sōma.

In 2008, he collaborated with Li Bingbing on the song "Premonition," for the soundtrack of the fantasy wuxia film The Forbidden Kingdom.
