In addition to winning a $200,000 cash prize and the opportunity to debut his collection on the fashion platform Rent the Runway, his success on the show has also helped him acquire over 700,000 followers on his nigelxavier_ Instagram account.

Before Fame

He is a former football player and graduate of the High School of Fashion Industries and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Prior to appearing on Next in Fashion, he worked as a freelance designer, crafting costumes for theatrical productions and dance performances.

He often seeks inspiration for his designs within the music industry and has referred to artists such as A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, and Playboi Carti as his "fashion muses." He has been featured by Vogue magazine.

Family Life

He paid tribute to his mother in a March 2023 post to his Instagram account, thanking her for inspiring him as a child. Both his mother, Stella Xavier, and his father, Marshal Xavier, appeared on the final episode of Next in Fashion. He was born in California, and later became based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
