Before Fame

He graduated from Fort Lewis College, where he majored in physiology and minored in education. He later quit his grocery store job to pursue photography in Los Angeles, CA. In 2020, he spoke to students about art and authenticity when he was selected as a Poynter Fellow at Yale University. He has also spoken at Stanford University and Otis Fine Arts College.

Trivia

He founded the electronic/synth-punk duo The Hellp in 2015 with Chandler Lucy. They released their debut album, "Twin Sinner," in 2016 and are noted for songs such as "California Dream Girl" and "Caustic." They performed a DJ set at Coachella's DoLab stage in 2025. In 2019, he directed the music video for "Dark Circles" by Ryan Beatty.
