Before Fame

She earned an associate's degree in behavioral sciences and psychology, and studied biology at the University of Hawaii. She earned a bachelor's degree at San Diego State University, and a master's degree in ethology.

Trivia

She is a  PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and a United States Coast Guard certified captain. When diving among sharks she uses a signature biomimicry wetsuit that imitates the tiger shark's natural camouflage. In 2017, she played the character of Lily O'Neill in an episode of Hawaii Five-0. She is also an author, having penned the book What You Should Know About Sharks, in 2019.

Family Life

She was born in Oahu, Hawaii. She is married to Juan Oliphant, with whom she co-owns the  the Hawaii-based dive charter company One Ocean Diving. And Ocean Ramsey is her real name.

Associated With

In the 2019 documentary she and Oliphant starred alongside Zac Efron "Saving Jaws," a documentary that took the trio on a journey to combat the negative media coverage associated with sharks.
