English radio DJ who was a presenter on Radio Luxembourg, Top of the Pops and The Vintage Chart Show. He was a host on the The Vintage Chart Show from 1989 to 1999.
He began his DJ career in 1966 while in the Royal Air Force. He broadcast from offshore Radio 270 and later Radio Luxembourg where he discovered William Joyce's propaganda broadcasts to Britain from World War Two.

He had two sons with his wife, Nicole, whom he met while he was at Radio Luxembourg.
He replaced longtime radio host Jimmy Savile as host of The Vintage Chart Show.
