Journalist who has contributed to Grantland and New York Magazine as a pop culture, political, and sport columnist. He was named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in 2016 for his work covering politics and pop culture.
He earned his degree in sociology, public policy and geography from Dartmouth College in 2009. He spent time pursuing a master's degree at Columbia University, but dropped out when offered a full-time writing position with Grantland.
He co-wrote issue #6 of the popular Black Panther: World of Wakanda comic series in 2017 with Ta-Nehisi Coates. He was a speaker at The New Museum's Ideas City conference in 2016.
He was raised in Atlanta, Georgia.
His long-form piece on Kevin Durant for Grantland was named to USA Today's list of "The 13 Greatest Pieces of Sportswriting in 2013."
