Singer who was a massive star in Ukraine in the 80s and 90s, scoring hits with such tracks as "Don't Stand By My Window," "The Mermaid" and "The Fortune Teller." She spent a decade with the away from the music industry before returning in 2007 with the album The Best Of Russya.
She began taking piano lessons at age 5 and eventually enrolled at the Kiev Music College.
She won back-to-back Best Female Artist of Ukraine awards in 1990 and 1991.
Her real name is Irina Volodymyrivna Poryvai. She married songwriter Konstantin Ossaoulenko.
She has toured with her younger sister, singer Natasha Korolyova.
