She worked as a researcher and then as a sub-editor at Sky Sports News. In college, she worked as a bar backer (glass collector) in a restaurant and bar in Birmingham. While at university, she worked part-time at Sony BMG music and held down a part-time job at Burberry as a sales assistant.
