Defensive lineman who was selected 19th overall by the Buffalo Bills in the 2016 NFL Draft. His professional career got off to an inauspicious start, as he had to undergo major shoulder surgery less than a month after being drafted.
He attended Clemson University, where he recorded 24.5 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks as a junior. He then passed on his final season of college eligibility to enter the NFL draft.
His efforts in 2015 earned him consensus All-American recognition. He was a four-star recruit coming out of high school.
He was born to Lawrence Lawson and Rolitha Oglesby. He was named after NBA star Shaquille O'Neal.
He and Deshaun Watson were teammates at Clemson.
