Brazilian civil engineer and politician. He gained prominence for his role as the Minister of Infrastructure in Brazil. He served as the minister from January 2019 until March 2022. He played a crucial role in implementing infrastructure projects and improving the country's transportation networks including highways, railways, airports, and ports. 

Before Fame

He graduated from the Agulhas Negras Military Academy. Additionally, he obtained a degree in engineering from the Military Institute of Engineering. 

Trivia

He made history in the October 2022 run-off election by securing victory over Fernando Haddad, the candidate from the PT party. This win marked a significant milestone, as Tarcísio became the first non-PSDB member to be elected as the governor of São Paulo in 28 years.

He is from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He and his wife Cristiane Ferreira da Silva have two children together.
