Before fame

He is a self-taught artist who began creating pen-and-ink drawings before transitioning into digital media. He began sharing his artwork on Instagram in March 2022 and launched Never Been Deader in April 2023. His breakthrough came in August 2023 when Never Been Deader joined King Features Syndicate and debuted on Comics Kingdom.

He appeared on Comics Kingdom's Inside the Kingdom podcast in September 2024. He released the graphic novel Never Been Deader: Lifeless Carl and the Not-So-Sweet Embrace of Death through Titan Comics in September 2025. He launched the Never BEAN Deader coffee line in October 2025.
