Based on the 2003 film of the same name, this play focuses on a substitute teacher's class of 5th graders that enters a Battle of the Bands contest.

Trivia

The musical was nominated for four Tony Awards at the 2016 ceremony: Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score and Best Actor in a Musical (Alex Brightman).
