Prior to her interest in acting, she trained in ballet, modern dance and jazz dance for thirteen years.
She earned her B.A. in theater from Southern Methodist University and in 2010 she was a regular on Happy Town, playing Rachel Conroy.
She married James Carpinello in 2003, and the couple welcomed their son Jackson in 2005.
She starred in Alias with Jennifer Garner.
