Before fame
She studied in Nainital and Mumbai before she trained in acting and interior designing in New York. She began her career in advertising and became widely recognized as the face of Pears Soap for several years. She transitioned into acting from modeling and appeared in films such as Style, Jo Bole So Nihaal, Right Yaa Wrong, Thank You, Be Careful, and Heroine. She gained major recognition in 2014 with her remix of "Baby Doll" which helped establish her career as a DJ.

She is known as one of the first Indian performers to successfully transition from acting into DJing and has been referred to as "India's First Actress DJ." She has worked on official remixes connected to multiple Shah Rukh Khan films including Happy New Year, Dilwale, Dear Zindagi, Raees, and Jab Harry Met Sejal. She received the Young Women Achievers Award in 2015. She launched The Ripple Reach podcast in early 2025.
Family life
She was born and raised in India and moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in entertainment. Her father's name is Murari Lal Sharma. She is a mother and has spoken about her experiences with fertility and IVF.
