South Korean pop singer and songwriter, guitarist, and producer known for being the founder and lead of the acclaimed indie-rock band SE SO NEON and for her solo projects including the albums So!YoON! and Episode 1: Love. She is also known for her hit song "Smoke Sprite."

Before Fame

She formed SE SO NEON in 2016 with drummer Gangto and bassist Fancy Moon. She named the band after a vintage youth magazine she spotted in a bookstore. She first broke out with SE SO NEON's EP Summer Plumage in 2017. She and her band released their second EP Nonadaptation in 2020. She released her first solo album So!YoON! in 2019.

Trivia

She and her SE SO NEON bandmates won Rookie of the Year and Best Rock Song for "The Wave" in 2018. She and the rest of SE SO NEON's EP Summer Plumage was also nominated for Best Rock Album in 2018. She sought permission directly from Australian artist Patricia Piccinini to reinterpret the sculpture "The Rookie" for her cover of So!YoON! She's been recognized by Fender and was the only Korean act in YouTube Music's Foundry Class of 2021.
