Broadcast journalist and anchor who became famous as the chief domestic correspondent for CNN. He served as the network's chief White House correspondent during the Donald Trump administration. He also covered the Barack Obama administration as CNN's senior White House correspondent. He traveled to Cuba in March 2016 to cover President Obama's historic trip to the island.

In 1993, he earned a bachelor's degree in mass communication, with a minor in political science, from James Madison University.

He began his professional career with WMAL radio in Washington, D.C. He has worked for Fox, NBC and CBS affiliates. In April 2007, he joined CNN and the following year he covered the 2008 presidential campaigns of Democratic candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.  In January 2021, he was appointed Anchor and Chief Domestic Correspondent for CNN.

Family Life

His ex-wife is Sharon Mobley Stow. They have a daughter and a son. His father arrived in the United States as a child from Cuba.
