Murderer often referred to as The Bogeyman of Westfield who killed his mother, wife and three children in November 1971. He escaped capture for 18 years, during which time he assumed a new identity and remarried, before finally being arrested and sentenced to life in prison.
He was a Sunday school teacher who served in the United States Army during World War II. He later earned a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Michigan.
He was arrested less than two weeks after the airing of an America's Most Wanted episode on which he was profiled.
