American librettist who wrote for musicals such as Pacific Overtures, Assassins, and Road Show. He was also a writer for Sesame Street and won over a dozen Emmy Awards for Outstanding Writing for a Children's Program.
He did his undergrad at Harvard and received a JD from Yale Law School.
He wrote for the National Lampoon in the 1970s.
He married Lila A. Coleburn in 1978.
