Australian musician and actor best recognized as one of the founding members of the Australian folk-pop group the Seekers. He has written and produced television jingles and music tracks as well as performing solo concerts throughout the 1980s. In June of 2019, The Seekers released their 13th album, Back to Our Roots.
Before Fame
At age 6, his family migrated to Australia and he began teaching himself to play the banjo, guitar, and keyboard. While at Melbourne High School, he performed in vocal groups.
Trivia
In 2004, he released his first solo album, Secrets of the Heart. In 2015, The Seekers were inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame.
Family Life
His parents are Justin Vere Potger and Joan Frances Meier. He has two brothers named Ralph and Nigel. From 1966 to 1984, he was married to Pamela Powley and they had two children. From 1994 to 2004, he was married to Pamela Potger. He was married to Nicki Paull from 2006 to 2014.
