Veteran reliever that was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks during the 22nd round of the 2016 Major League Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at the University of Arizona.

Before Fame

Although he stayed in college, he was originally drafted by the San Francisco Giants during the 2014 MLB Draft after a season at Southwestern Community College. The very next year, he was drafted by the Boston Red Sox but he decided to stay in college again. 

Trivia

He pitched a scoreless inning in his official major league debut playing against the Philadelphia Phillies on August 5, 2019. He finished his rookie season with an 1.48 earned run average in 25 appearances.

He is a native of San Diego, California. He grew up living with his parents and his brother, Clayton.
