He was originally selected by Boston during the 23rd round of the 2019 MLB Draft. As a rookie in 2024, he finished top 10 in appearances, strikeouts and earned run average by a rookie reliever in the National League.

Trivia
He pitched one scoreless innings with three strikeouts while facing the San Diego Padres during his MLB debut on April 3, 2024. In the process of doing so, he became the second reliever in Cardinals history to strike out every batter he faced during his debut.
