Home Improvement star who provided the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story films. He also starred in The Santa Clause film series and Galaxy Quest. In 2011, he began starring as Mike Baxter in the ABC sitcom Last Man Standing.
When he was 11, his father died in a car collision with a drunk driver. He worked at the student radio station WIDR while attending Western Michigan University.

He married Laura Diebel in 1984, and the couple had a daughter named Katherine in 1989 before divorcing in 2003. In 2006, he married Jane Hajduk; they have a daughter named Elizabeth.
He and Tom Hanks both provided voices for Toy Story characters.
