Before fame
He first stepped onto the stage at a young age and performed in the theatrical production Madame Doubtfire in 2003. He returned to France in the early 2010s and began building a professional acting career. He appeared in the television series Sous le soleil de Saint-Tropez. He expanded his entertainment work in 2014 by forming the comedy duo Kevin et Tom with comedian Kevin Levy. His music career started gaining momentum when he released the single "Are We Too Late" in 2018 along with releasing the self-titled EP Tom Leeb in 2018. He released his first full studio album Recollection in 2019 which featured songs such as "Are We Too Late," "Go On," and "I Still Love You." His big break was being internally selected by the French broadcaster France Télévisions in 2020 to represent France in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Mon alliée (The Best in Me)."
Trivia
He ultimately did not compete at Eurovision because the 2020 contest was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He has said that watching John Mayer perform live strongly inspired and influenced him to pursue his music career.
Family life
He was born and raised in Paris in a family connected to the entertainment industry. He is the son of French comedian and actor Michel Leeb and journalist Béatrice Malicet. He has two sisters including Fanny Leeb, who is also a singer and songwriter and Elsa Leeb.
