He is also known for acting and voice roles in projects including The Dark Knight, Green Zone, Doctor Who, Matt Hatter Chronicles, Edge of Tomorrow, Supernatural, and Arrow.
Before fame
His major early breakthrough came as a stand-up comedian. He gained wider recognition through various acting roles including in The Dark Knight in 2008, Green Zone in 2010, Doctor Who in 2011, Matt Hatter Chronicles from 2011 to 2015, and Edge of Tomorrow in 2014. He began posting The Tommy Campbell Show videos on YouTube in July 2020.

He published his first book The Slacker Confessions in 2003 which was featured on Canada AM and won Best Emerging Author from NOW Magazine. Family life
He has Canadian and Irish citizenship. He spent 10 years based in London, England while performing at comedy venues. He is a father and posted a Mother's Day tribute to his wife on Instagram in May 2026.
