Before fame

He developed an interest in music at a young age and listened to rock and hip-hop early on. He eventually became interested in electronic dance music as a teenager and began producing songs in his mid-teens. He started DJing when he was 16 years old. He adopted the stage name Van Snyder and started releasing music publicly in the late 2000s. His first break was releasing "Start Again" in 2011, followed by "Reach Up" in 2012. He remixed Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out for a Hero" in 2015, which helped boost his career.

He considered Eminem and Guns N' Roses to be early music inspirations. He has released music on Tiger Records, Zero Cool Records, Black Hole Recordings' TurnItUp Muzik, Total Freedom Recordings, Blanco y Negro Music, Revealed Recordings, Warner Music Denmark, and Interplay Records, with remixes distributed through Sony Music Germany and Kontor Records. His real name is Imre Kis. He was born and raised in Tulln an der Donau, Austria. His parents are Imre Kis Senior and Klara Kis.
