About

Retired professional basketball player who is known for playing in the National Basketball Association from 1975 to 1988. He played for the San Diego Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets in the NBA.

Before Fame

He attended Canarsie High School and graduated from Guilford College.

Trivia

On December 8, 1981, a day before his 28th birthday, he legally changed his first name to World. For both the 1978-1979 and 1979-1980 campaigns, he and George Gervin were number 1 and 2 in the league in scoring. He was selected in the second round of the 1975 NBA Draft, which also featured future star Lionel Hollins.

Family Life

He is the son of Charlie Charles Free and Earlene Free.
