Neighboring Roman cities go through turmoil as a once revered Roman general is exiled during a time of social inequality. As the division between the normal citizens and the upper class of nobility begins to worsen, it becomes apparent who's truly fighting for a good cause. The film stars Gerard Butler, Vanessa Redgrave, Brian Cox, Jessica Chastain and John Kani.
Trivia
This film was based on William Shakespeare's play titled Coriolanus. After premiering at the 61st Berlin International Film Festival in February 2011, the movie was not fully released in America until later on in 2012. Parts of the movie were filmed in Serbia, Montenegro, and in the UK. Actor Gerard Butler made his official stage debut.
