Borja Fernández

Former defensive midfielder that played soccer professionally for just over 19 years. During his professional career, he primarily played soccer in the countries of India and Spain. He is best known for his years with Real Valladolid, where he played in over 180 career club matches.

Before Fame

He first began playing soccer as a kid within the Real Madrid youth academy. He later signed his first professional club contract with Real in the year 2000.

Trivia

He originally made his professional club debut in the year 2003 while playing with Real Madrid. Since then, he has played in over 479 career matches. After contributing sparingly as the latter side retained their top-flight status, the then 38-year-old Borja announced his retirement in May of 2019. He remained connected to his last club in other capacities.

Family Life

He lives along with his wife and their two children. He grew up living in Ourense, Spain.
