American singer, songwriter, and record producer who blends country rap, R&B, gospel, and soul music. He has 230,000 followers on Instagram, 7,000 on Twitter, and 350,000 subscribers on YouTube. His music has been streamed on Spotify over 150 million times. His 2019 debut single, "My Truck," reached No. 26 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. A remix version of the song featuring Sam Hunt was later released and was certified platinum for sales of 1 million units as of January 2021. He planned to release his debut album, Cross Country, in September 2022.

Before Fame

Although he was accepted into New York University's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, he chose to study business at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. After graduation, he moved to Atlanta where he sold language technology during the day and wrote music at night. He taught himself how to engineer on Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and FL Studio. 

Trivia

He wrote nearly 2,000 songs in three years. He made placements with artists such as Trey Songz and wrote nearly half of the tracks on The Golden Child, the debut from Def Jam Recordings R&B artist YK Osiris. In 2021, he performed at the 2021 CMT Music Awards. Because of COVID-19, it was the first time he had performed in front of a live audience since singing at the Peddie School when he was 14.  He had a few viral Instagram reels in 2024 in which he predicted NFL playoff football scores in a creative way.

Family Life

He was born and raised in Burlington, New Jersey to ordained ministers Tonya and Gerard Breland. The family listened almost exclusively to gospel music, and his parents made a gospel album when he was a child. His real name is Daniel Gerard Breland. He attributes much of his musical skill to his mom dad and sister Gigi. His father reportedly does not know any of the lyrics to his songs.
