Brazilian professional surfer and board maker who is known for having won multiple World Tour events in the ASP and WQS as well as the Brazilian Professional Surf Championships. He is also known for founding Fabio Gouveia Shape & Design.
Before Fame
He first started surfing at the age of 13. He then took an interest in shaping and started making boards at 14. He gained further recognition in 1987 when he won the Brazilian Amateur Championship.
Trivia
He is known for having won the 1988 Word Champion Amateur competition, becoming the first Brazilian surfer to do so.
Family Life
He was born and raised in Banana, Brazil and shared a photo of his son through Instagram in October of 2018.
