Before fame

He began learning how to play and produce music when he was in elementary school and began pursuing music independently before developing an online following. He wrote, recorded, and produced music under the stage name JRC beginning in 2014 with his song "The Hustle." His first notable single "One of a Kind" was released in 2015 followed by "What I'm Living For" in 2016. He released his debut album Humble Beginnings in 2016.
