American film and television actress who is known for her recurring role as Grace James on the 2019 television series All American. She is also known for having starred in several feature films including The Rum Diary where she played Papa Nebo in 2011 and Suburbicon in 2017 where she played Mrs. Mayers. 

Before Fame

After enjoying performing in several theatrical productions, she chose to attend The Academy of Dramatic Arts-West. She went on to make her acting debut when she appeared in an episode of the television series City of Angels in 2000. She made her feature film debut in 2001 when she crashed an audition and was selected to play Alyssa in the 2001 feature film Save the Last Dance. 

Trivia

She has won several awards for her acting including the Chandler International Film Festival Award in 2016 for Best Actress in a short film for her work in the 2016 short Caged. She also won as part of the Best Ensemble Acting Award at the 2016 Connect Film Festival in Australia for her role in the short film.

She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.
