Mansour Bahrami

About

Former professional tennis player who is best known for his showmanship which has made him a popular figure in tournaments. He was a successful doubles player, winning two tournaments and making it to the 1989 French Open doubles. He has been a mainstay at the seniors invitational tennis circuit for over 25 years. He gained attention on the ATP Champions Tour with his trick shots and flamboyant humor. 

Before Fame

He became a member of the Iran Davis Cup Team when he was 16. Soon after was the Islamic Revolution in which tennis was banned as a capitalist and elitist sport. In lieu of tennis, he turned his attention to backgammon for three years. He then relocated to France where he lost his money gambling.

His mansourbahramiofficial Instagram page has 750,000 followers. He has posted videos about political movements in Iran, such as the fight for human rights that broke out in late 2022. He also features pictures and videos from his games, some of which show his signature style that delights his fans. In some videos he speaks right to camera, letting his viewers know what he is up to that day or reporting from the crowd during a tennis game. 

Family Life

His wife is Frederique Bahrami. They have two children, Sam and Antoine. He has had dual French nationality since 1989.
