Actor who is widely known for his role as Tariq on the TV musical drama Empire. He had also previously appeared as the recurring character Conrad Fuller during the 2015 5th season of Showtime's drama series Homeland.

He appeared in regional theatrical productions to begin his career in show business, including at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theater.

Trivia

He appeared in six episodes of Joan of Arcadia as principal Stephen Chadwick between 2003 and 2004. He also appeared in two episodes of Chicago Fire in 2013.

He was married to JoNell Kennedy from 2001 to 2006.
