Brazilian singer who gained fame after participating and winning the second season of The Voice Brasil. He released his debut album Sam Alves in April 2014 and won the 2014 Brazilian International Press Award for Best Singer.
He started learning how to sing in the church with the help of his mother Raquel.
He first participated in The Voice U.S. in 2012 but didn't make it past the blind audition.
He was abandoned in a shoebox when he was two days old and was found by his parents Luiz and Raquel Alves.
He was mentored by Claudia Leitte on The Voice Brasil.
