Canadian playwright who wrote A Compulsory Option and Blood Relations, and won the Harry and Martha Cohen Award for contributions to Calgary Theatre.
She directed a theater group consisting of high school kids from 1962 to 1963.
She founded The Garry Theatre in a low-income area of Calgary and was so passionate about the theater that she refused to take royalties from it.
Her first daughter, Jennifer, was born in 1956.
She and Norm Foster are two of Canada's most acclaimed playwrights.
