Baseball manager who led the Boston Red Sox to a World Series title in 2004, their first since 1918. He won another title with the team in 2007. In 2013, he became manager of the Cleveland Indians. He was named AL Manager of the Year in 2013 and in 2016, he led the Indians to a World Series appearance.
He began playing baseball at New Brighton Pennsylvania High School.
He briefly served as an MLB analyst between his tenures with the Red Sox and Indians.
He married Jacque Lang in 1982 and he has three daughters, Alyssa, Jamie and Leah, and a son, Nicholas. His father, Tito Francona, played in the majors from 1956 to 1970.
ESPN commentator Bobby Valentine exchanged jobs with Terry and began coaching the Boston Red Sox while Terry became a TV MLB analyst.
