Warren Cuccurullo

About

American musician, entertainer, artist, performer, composer, songwriter, and restaurant owner who first gained recognition from working with Frank Zappa during the 1970s. In the year 1986 he joined Duran Duran, becoming a long-term member of the band until the year 2001.

Before Fame

He started playing drums and guitar as a young child. In the year 1975, he graduated from Canarsie High School.  

Trivia

He was also a former bodybuilder. He was a founding member of Missing Persons in the 1980s. In the year 2022, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Duran Duran. Mayko is featured in the Duran Duran video "Breath After Breath", filmed in Argentina in the year 1993. He also contributed some minor vocal work on the N'Liten Up project.

Family Life

He is the son of Jerry and Ellen Cuccurullo. He has two brothers named Jerry and Robert and a sister named Stephanie. He was previously in a relationship with Claudia Bueno and adopted her child Mayko Cuccurullo.

He played alongside John Taylor and Nick Rhodes for the band Duran Duran.
