A country in Central America bordered by Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua. Due to social and political instability, Honduras has long been one of the poorest countries in the region. It is known for natural resources such as minerals, coffee, tropical fruit and sugar cane.
Trivia
The country is home to ancient Mayan ruins in Copan. It has the second largest coral reef in the world, after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Meals usually include corn, beans and rice, tortillas, fruit and seafood.
