Grammy nominated and multi-platinum producer who was named the #2 Producer of the Year in Billboard Magazine in 2010. His resume includes names like Young Jeezy, Nicki Minaj, Usher, T.I., Kanye West, R. Kelly, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Drake, August Alsina and Wiz Khalifa.
He started learning to play the recorder and clarinet from a young age and would become a classically trained musician. He founded Drum Squad in 2003, and in 2007, he catapulted into the national spotlight with the song "Shawty" for then hip-hop newcomer Plies.
In 2011, his production on Waka Flocka Flame's platinum smash hit "No Hands," featuring Roscoe Dash and Wale, earned him the accolade Best Club Banger at the BET Hip Hop Awards, a nod for Best Collaboration at the 2011 BET Awards, and an ASCAP Award for Most Performed Song.
He was born Christopher Gholson in Memphis, Tennessee to an opera singing mother and a music professor father. His father, G. James Gholson, was also a critically acclaimed clarinetist and the first African-American man to hold the 1st chair position in the Memphis Symphony Orchestra.
