About
A woman on the run from the mob flees to the small town of Dogville, Colorado where she hopes to live out the rest of he life. While living in Dogville some visitors locate her, but with the help of some locals she is granted protection for a fee and an exchange of labor. The film first premiered in April 2003.

This film grossed over $16 million in box office sales. After the completion of the movie, actress Nicole Kidman reportedly said she would never again work with writer and director Lars von Trier.
