Roman Catholic institution founded by the Society of Jesus, and one of 28 institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. It was known as Gonzaga College from 1887 to 1912.
Trivia
The school's motto in Latin reads Ad majorem Dei gloriam. Translated to English it means For the Greater Glory of God. The basketball team has brought a ton of notoriety to the school under coach Mark Few.
