Delaware is located in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US. The state's name comes from the Delaware Bay and it is the sixth-least populous state. Delaware's largest metropolitan area is that of Delaware Valley. The state's official land mammal is the grey fox. After the American Revolution, Delaware became the model for a a strong central United States with equal representation for each state.
