NFL MVPs

About

The honor received by the player considered the most valuable to his team in the National Football League. The Associated Press, Pro Football Writers Association and Sporting News all recognize who they believe to be the MVP each year, however it is the Associated Press that is considered the de facto official NFL MVP award.

Trivia

The first award deemed the MVP was called the Joe F. Carr Trophy, and it was awarded by the NFL between the years 1938 and 1946.
